Dear Paraeducator,
The Washington State Paraeducator Board is conducting this voluntary online survey of all current paraeducators in Washington State. By participating, you will help k-12 and higher education leaders determine policies regarding career ladders, professional development for paraeducators, and alternative route to teacher certification programs.
The purpose of this survey is to understand the level of interest you have in participating in the above programs, the barriers to your participation, and the support you may require.
Depending on your level of interest and experience, the survey should take 10–20 minutes. Although we want all paraeducators in Washington to participate, you are not required. There are no consequences or risks if you stop participating in the survey or skip any questions. Participating in the survey benefits schools in Washington, individuals interested in professional development, and individuals who would like to become certified teachers by providing information that could lead to a larger pool of candidates.
Your responses are confidential, anonymous, and not shared with anyone except the research team. To ensure that no one can identify your answers, we will not use your personal information in any reports. Your feedback is valuable and is appreciated.
