Needs, Challenges and Priorities of African Persons Living with NCDs during the COVID-19 Period.

Introduction (Why this Survey?):

Background:  Africa surpassed the 1 million mark in number of cases of the COVID-19 in July 2020.  African countries still respond to the diverse COVID-19 urgent needs despite having little knowledge on its impact on individuals such as those living with pre-existing conditions. Evidence from the COVID-19 pandemic suggests that people living with NCDs (PLWNCDs) are at higher risk of becoming severely ill, getting long term complications or dying from the coronavirus. It is important for PLWNCDs to keep themselves safe and healthy.  This survey, conducted by the African NCDs Network (ANN) with support from the NCD Alliance will help to contextualize the COVID-19 pandemic response in Africa among PLWNCDs. Taking it will help inform advocacy efforts to support PLWNCDs and to build back better.

Target Audience: This survey targets and seek to understand the needs, challenges and priorities of People Living with NCDs or care partners/ caregivers in the sub regions of Africa.

Process: The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.
