I Think I Might Have COVID-19

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911. 
1.

Do you have any of these symptoms: cough, fever over 100.4°, shortness of breath? 

2. Do you have any TWO of these symptoms: loss of taste/smell, unexplained muscle pain, sore throat, vomiting/diarrhea, chills?
2. Have you been exposed (within 6’ of someone for 15 minutes or longer) to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19? 
2. Call LRH’s Respiratory Clinic at 712-336-6696 to get tested.

Are you immunocompromised? 
Tell your employer and quarantine for 14 days (this timeframe may change if you are positive and develop symptoms). 
2. Were your test results POSITIVE or NEGATIVE
Stay home for 10 days since exposure/symptoms or test date and:
  1. Stay in a separate room and use a separate bathroom than others in your home.
  2. Track your temperature daily. Also track symptoms such as loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, muscle pain, cough, chills, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  3. Call 712-336-6696 if you have symptoms that worry you or if you have persistent pressure in the chest or difficulty breathing.
  4. Tell those you exposed you are positive and to get tested.
Tell your employer and quarantine for 20 days OR until you have two negative test results in a row, taken at least 24 hours apart. 
You are unlikely to have COVID-19. Wear a face mask and social distance.
Quarantine for 14 days (due to the incubation period according to the CDC and IDPH). Wear a face mask and social distance.
2. Have you gone at least 24 hours without a fever over 100.4° without the use of Tylenol or any fever reducer?

2. Has it been 10 days since your symptoms first appeared?
Stay home for 10 days since exposure/symptoms or test date and:
  1. Stay in a separate room and use a separate bathroom than others in your home.
  2. Track your temperature daily. Also track symptoms such as loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, muscle pain, cough, chills, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  3. Call 712-336-6696 if you have symptoms that worry you or if you have persistent pressure in the chest or difficulty breathing.
  4. Tell those you exposed you are positive and to get tested.
You may be able to go out in public again. Check with your healthcare provider first, as you may need another test.
