2022 Wisconsin EMS Protocols Voluntary Adoption and Attestation

Introduction

The 2022 Wisconsin EMS Protocols are a voluntary resource for the EMS service medical director to use as patient care protocols, as defined in DHS 110.04 (54).

Request to Adopt State Protocols (with no modification)
EMS service medical directors can choose to adopt the entire protocol collection or select specific ones that fit agency needs. Should the EMS service medical director approve all or any of these protocols without modification, continue with the survey, select your choice and upload the 2022 Wisconsin EMS Protocols Medical Director Approval form where directed. The EMS Office will add an updated addendum to your agency's Operational Plan as outlined in Wis. Admin. Code
§§ DHS 110.35(2)(a) and DHS 110.49(2)(a, b) and notify the service director and service medical director confirmation through E-licensing. Please ensure you follow all of the other requirements outlined by DHS 110.

Request to Adopt State Protocols (with modifications)
EMS service medical directors, who prefer to edit or modify select 2022 Wisconsin EMS Protocols, update existing agency protocols or develop new protocols, should continue to adhere to the guidance in
§ DHS110.35(2) (a) and submit signed patient care protocols as an addendum to the agency’s operational plan by emailing them to the DHS EMS Regional Coordinator. Please ensure you follow all of the other requirements outlined by DHS 110. You can exit the survey.
