2022 FOCUS Conference Presenter Proposal

The Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), is pleased to announce the 2022 FOCUS Conference for health care providers November 16-17, 2022. We are planning an in-person conference at the Kalahari Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. 

The FOCUS conference offers keynote and/or plenary presentations, concurrent 90-minute breakout sessions, and exhibitors.

The FOCUS planning committee is accepting proposals for 90-minute breakout sessions and 75-minute keynote/plenary presentations. The proposals should demonstrate evidence-based practices, promote strength-based approaches, address diverse populations, enhance skills, support the elder population, and energize participants. 

Proposals are due Friday, March 18, 2022. Selected presenters will be notified by email no later than Friday, April 22, 2022.

The conference planning committee will review all proposals. Selection will be based on:

  • Demand for the topic
  • Presenter qualifications
  • Demonstration of diverse perspective
  • New information and best practices
  • History of the topic at the conference
  • Previous conference evaluation feedback (if applicable)

Compensation for presenters is one complimentary conference registration and one night of lodging. Requests for additional compensation are definitely considered and will factor into the selection process.
