OVERVIEW

The field of musculoskeletal medicine is highly dynamic and rapidly changing. Research findings are resulting in new techniques and clinical guidelines. Orthopaedic surgeons and clinicians are expected to keep abreast of these advances in order to continue to achieve optimal clinical practice and patient care.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is targeted to Orthopaedic Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Radiologists, Pediatricians, Research Scientists, Pathologists, Residents, Fellows, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Students and Alumni of Hospital for Special Surgery.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Hospital for Special Surgery activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe current research findings in musculoskeletal medicine and discuss the potential implications for clinical practice.
  • Discuss and be able to implement new standards and techniques in their practice of musculoskeletal medicine.
  • Describe and be able to implement therapeutic approaches to enhance skeletal tissue regeneration, such as a WNT based approach.

Hospital for Special Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION
