About Alumni Catalyst
Alumni Catalyst is a collaborative IREX initiative designed to strengthen the systems, relationships, and resources that sustain alumni engagement beyond the completion of a fellowship. Through engagement mapping, practical resources, learning exchanges, networking opportunities, and an Alumni Advisory Council, the initiative aims to strengthen connections across fellowship programs and advance field-wide learning. About the Alumni Advisory Council
The Alumni Catalyst Alumni Advisory Council will bring together alumni leaders from across fellowship programs, sectors, regions, and professional backgrounds. Council members will provide strategic guidance, feedback, and recommendations to help shape Alumni Catalyst’s priorities and activities. They will also represent broader alumni perspectives, contribute to stronger alumni engagement across the fellowship sector, and serve as ambassadors within their networks. 

Council members will have opportunities to: 
  • Help shape the direction and priorities of Alumni Catalyst. 
  • Share alumni experiences, insights, and recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with alumni leaders from different programs, sectors, and regions. 
  • Inform resources and activities that support alumni communities. 
  • Participate in peer learning focused on collaboration, innovation, and collective impact. 
  • Serve as an ambassador for Alumni Catalyst within their professional and alumni networks

Important Dates

  • By mid-November 2026: Notifications of accepted council members will be sent.  
  • December 2026. Kickoff meeting with the all advisory council members virtually.
  • February 2027: Second quarterly meeting with all advisory council members virtually.
  • April 2027: Third quarterly meeting with all advisory council members virtually. 
  • End of June 2027: In-person convening at a location TBD.  
Nomination Pathways
Applicants may be considered through one of the following pathways: 

1. Program Nomination 
A fellowship program nominates an alumnus who can contribute thoughtful insight, represent alumni perspectives, and support shared learning across the community. 

Required materials: 
  • Completed nomination application 
  • A personal statement from the nominated alumnus 

2. Alumni Self-Nomination with Program Support 
An alumnus nominates themself with the support of the fellowship organization from which they graduated. 

Required materials: 
  • Completed nomination application 
  • A reference/endorsement statement from the fellowship organization.
